We said good-bye. Had nearly 50 people in our home on Sunday night -- a farewell party to those whom we have come to love here. We all sat on the floor, Indonesian style, sang together, speeches were made. It was beautiful ..... Mama Eki knelt and thanked for the blessing of working in our home. She requested that Chris impart wisdom to her sons and so they sat together eagerly listening to his words. Since her favorite color is red, I gave her my red Bali dress, red jewelry & red perfume. We embraced and I said “goodbye” to my dear pembantu, sister, friend .....
We walked through every room of our house and said “goodbye” with tears running down our faces. We pushed Tehya & Paeton on the swings. As we drove away … there was a rainbow ..... Visted Sisi’s clinic and said good-bye to this dear young lady. Sat in a courtyard and she gave me a piece of silk. Gorgeous ..... We had lunch with A’s family. It was lovely and at our favorite spot: Greenleaf. Had salmon and a latte. We took pictures together after and hugged … It was very precious and perfect. As we said a final good-bye, she slipped a velvet box into my hand and walked away with tears .....

Good-byes
