Marathon

It's time for another update on life here in Palangka Raya. We've only been back in town for just over a week, but so much has happened. Chris is very busy managing the building of a new dock/hangar for this base! He is working long days, in the equator heat, managing the whole thing in a second language (Indonesian work crew). It's horrendous work, if you ask me! They are using styrofoam as a base for the new floating dock and hangar (a Dutch architect's grand idea). It's quite something! Chris is enjoying "spoiling" the national workers with rehydrating drinks (something like Gatorade) and good lunches. Please be praying for Chris and the guys as they are racing to beat the coming rainy season which brings with it flooding of this property. We are getting rain nearly every afternoon/evening these days, so it is quite the marathon.
