Newness
I nearly felt paralyzed when my body finally lay down after 26 hours of traveling across the ocean. The trip went smoothly. Thankfully the airline we use has movies for the kids, activity bags and special kids’ meals. Tehya & Paeton were happy to breathe the humid air when we walked off the plane … so content they are in this foreign place to most, but familiar place to them. We were picked up by our hotel shuttle service and with many suitcases in tote, we arrived at the hotel … weary but feeling good. Went to bed around 3pm and got up around 2am, just in time to get ready and have breakfast before heading to the airport for our early-morning flight to our new province. Our airline is now working out of a new terminal: very clean and quite modern. I grabbed a Starbucks because it will be my last for a lonnnggg time. It was worth every penny. We were all awake and excited as we checked in our chorus of belongings and hurried to the plane. The morning with its new mercies was beautiful and ahead lay an adventure … what a marvelous moment indeed. There are only few times in life when a day brings newness like this. I’m embracing it!
