They came in and walked around
Like it was theirs to rummage through.
But they did not know that this is not our real home.
They took cameras full of pictures.
But they did not take our memories.
They stole my little computer, my journal.
But not my words.
They took food and even spat some out as a souvenir for us.
But God has given us all we need & more for food this week.
Along with our stuff, they took our feeling of safety.
But they did not take away our security.
They took away some happiness.
But not our joy.
They stole music.
But not our song.
They robbed us.
But Christ has given us life abundant ... which can never be taken away.
To the people who entered our home uninvited, there are Eternal Arms carrying us ... I do hope that You felt His presence when you walked around our space. I hope the image of the cross hanging on our wall never is erased from your mind. I pray that as you listen to the songs that were on my computer, your heart is changed. One day we hope to see you in heaven ... because God works all things out for good.
