Since moving to our new island home, we have pulled out several ugly plants that adorned our house, levelled the yard, and planted little puffs of grass. My love walked into the jungle, pulled out a gorgeous tree, and planted it in one corner of the yard. We didn't know if it'd take ... but we figured it was pretty cheap, so not much wasted. It's been over a month ... and it's thriving. It blooms yellow flowers and looks a bit like the birch tree at my parents' home. I love our dainty and happy looking tree.
The key to its move? It wasn't moved alone. The roots and the surrounding soil with it were taken as well when it was transplanted. And it lived. ... And so it is with us.
Blessed is the man/woman whose delight is in the law of the LORD and on His law he/she meditates day and night. He/she is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. (From Psalm 1)
