Remember

The trees have just recovered from a season of death ... And as they show off their new leaves, don't they just look more colourful, vibrant, fresher, and alive ... than they did in the summer of last year?

I read to our son out of Job this morning.  He thought it was pretty spectacular when we compared the 7000 sheep in the beginning to the 14,000 sheep in the end.  But it was when I read chapter 42:5 to him that his 7-year-old-eyes welled up with tears:

"My ears had heard of You, but now my eyes have seen You."

It was through a season of death that Job not only gained back a double portion, but He came away with not just hearing God, but seeing Him.

May I never forget ...
